Pet Cremation Services
Paws & Remember
The same service you've trusted for four generations is now available for your beloved pets.
When a pet is lost, the grief can be overwhelming. Pets are part of our family and deserve a proper tribute at the time of their death. To assist you in honoring them, we offer pet cremation and memorialization products through our Paws and Remember program.
How is a Pet Cremated?
A human is cremated by being placed into a chamber, and through extreme heat the body reduces to small bone fragments. A pet cremation works the exact same way. Depending on the type of cremation requested, your pet is put into a chamber by itself or with other pets divided by spacers. The chamber then heats up and the body reduces to a substance that resembles ashes but in fact is small, light colored bone fragments. Depending on the size of your pet, it can take up to several hours for the thermal process from start to finish. Anything metal will have to be removed from your pet including a collar or any surgical pins but we will work with you if there is something you would like to include in the cremation.
The loss of a pet is a very difficult time. Our Staff would like to support you, in any way we can. We know that your pet was a family member and that its death has had a significant impact on your life. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Grief can be very unpredictable. One minute you may feel fine and the next minute you may feel very overwhelmed. That’s why there is no specific time frame for grieving. It may take days, weeks or months to come to terms with the death of your pet. The important thing is to find your own pace with it. You might find it helpful to think about some ways to memorialize your pet. Some people make a scrapbook of pictures or special objects. We understand the grief that is felt at the loss of a pet and can assist in memorializing your pet and paying tribute in a dignified and special way. We offer a variety of cremation memorial packages and products to assist you, shown below. Please call or stop in
