Granville Earl  Proffitt III
Granville Earl Proffitt, III, 52, of Washington, DC, died Monday, March 27, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Proffitt was born November 7, 1964 in Winchester; the son of Granville Earl Proffitt, Jr. and Martha “Marty” Reardon Proffitt. He was an interior designer with Plush Home in Los Angeles, CA. He was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.

Along with his parents he is survived by his sister, Pamela Proffitt-Baker of Winchester and his brother, Randolph Alan Proffitt of Boyce.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Macedonia United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Mayton and Pastor Mark Carey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to support the Genitourinary Research at Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, 750 East Pratt St., 17th Floor, Baltimore, MD 21202 or online at www.hopkinscancerresearch.org.
