Obituary for Elizabeth Sydnor Weakley (Sydnor)

Mrs. Elizabeth S. Weakley passed away on April 11, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Elizabeth was born in Richmond, Virginia, daughter of Floyd W. Sydnor and Lucille Edwards Sydnor.
She attended Richmond Professional Institute (now named Virginia Commonwealth University) and later was employed as a medical secretary at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.
Elizabeth and Charles Lynn Weakley Jr. were married on November 14, 1953. They became the parents of three lovely children, Charles Lynn of Fort Lauderdale, Martha W. Nicholson (husband Stephen) of Covington, Virginia, and John Rhys of Winchester, Virginia (wife Sandy).
After moving to Winchester, Elizabeth later became the Director of Volunteers at Winchester Memorial Hospital on Stewart Street.
Lynn Weakley, Jr. preceded her in death on November 27, 2007.
Elizabeth is survived by three children, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Elizabeth, better known as Liz Weakley, was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed entertaining family and friends in her home.
