Obituary for Genevieve Boxley

Genevieve Fox Boxley was born in Greencastle, Pennsylvania on May 27, 1925 to Harry G. and Mary Weagley Fox, moving with her parents to Winchester, VA in 1930.
Mrs. Boxley was a member of John Handley High School class of 1943. She was employed by the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Winchester in her early career and later joined the staff of East Lansing State Bank in Lansing, Michigan.
She was a member of the Market Street Methodist Church where she was a soloist in the church choir and a frequent guest soloist to other churches. She was a Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, McKinley Chapter, Winchester.
She married Robert Boxley in June 1965; living in East Lansing, Michigan and Arlington, Viriginia until they returned to Winchester in 1993. In Arlington, she was a member of the Lyon Village Woman’s Club and the Woman’s Committee for the Arlington Symphony. She was a board member of the Winchester Musica Viva, a life member of the Winchester Frederick County Historical Society and a member of the Shenandoah Region Antique Car Club of America.
Two brothers, Harry Fox, Jr and Eugene L. Fox predeceased her.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 26, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hebron Cemetery. The Rev. Keiko Foster from Market Street United Methodist Church will be officiating.
