Sandra Lee "Sandy"  Clem (Bockey)
Sandra Lee Bockey "Sandy" Clem, 71, of Cross Junction, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Winchester Medical Center surrounded by family and friends who loved her. Sandy was born August 6, 1945 in Winchester VA, the daughter of the late Charles Edward Bockey, Sr. and the late Hyacinth Irene Smallwood Bockey. Sandy was an active volunteer in the community, loved by all. She was a Lifetime Member of the South End Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, where she cooked food for the firefighters, police officers, and bingo players for years. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie #824 Ladies Auxiliary, where she was frequently found socializing among her many friends.

Sandy and Jeremiah F. "Frank" Clem eloped on February 20, 1965 and were married in Hagerstown MD. They settled in Winchester where they lived happily ever after for 52 years. She is survived by her son Jeremiah T. "Timmie" Clem of Winchester, her daughter Wendy Michelle Clarke and son-in-law Daniel P. Clarke of Cross Junction, and their two children Joseph Daniel and Brooklynn Michelle both of whom she loved dearly. She is survived by three brothers Charles Edward Bockey, Jr., Rickie Lee Bockey, and Richie Lee Bockey, all of Winchester. She leaves behind 19 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Gilbert Allen Smallwood; a sister Nancy Louise Smallwood Kirby; and a nephew Ritchie Lee "R.J." Clem, Jr.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening from 6- 8 pm at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Mt Hebron Cemetery. Following the ceremony there will be a celebration of life, potluck, at the Eagles Club.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Clarke, Christopher Bockey, Charles Bockey, Jr., Rickie Bockey, Richie Bockey, and Rick Clem. Honorary pallbearer will be Brooklynn Clarke.
