Mary L. Wallace, 74, of Winchester, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Wallace was born August 11, 1943 in Winchester; the daughter of Bush and Sadie Haines Linaweaver. She formerly worked for Telephone Components, Inc. She was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church.
She married James E. “Sonny” Wallace on August 25, 1961 in Hagerstown, MD. Mr. Wallace preceded her in death on November 17, 2016.
She is survived by her children, Regina L. Daugherty and Gary Lee Wallace both of Winchester; a brother, Bill Linaweaver of Stephens City; and two grandchildren, Jeff Wallace and Zandalee Daugherty. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Baby. She was preceded in death by her son, James “Jimmy” Wallace; a grandson, Joseph Wallace; and four brothers, Earl Linaweaver, Ken Linaweaver, Richard Linaweaver, and Gary Linaweaver.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Your beautiful heart and soul will be truly missed.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Ken H. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
