Carlton Lee Utterback, 80, of Winchester, VA passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in the Winchester Medical Center.

He was born on December 9, 1937 in Hillsboro, VA; the son of Luther T. and Louise Jacobs Utterback.
He was director of General Services with Vepco until his retirement in 1994. He was also employed part-time as a Master Electrician for fifty years from 1968 until present with Barcroft Management. He was a lifetime member of Berryville Baptist Church, a member of the Optimist Club, and the Alexandria Jaycees.

Carlton married Shirley Hill on December 2, 1961 in Loudoun County. She preceded him in death on November 22, 2016.

He is survived by his children, Cynthia Roach of Corriganville, MD, Carlton Lee Utterback, II (Karen) of Springfield, VA, and Michael Scott Utterback of Winchester, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Cooper of Berryville and sister in law, Trevia Utterback of Lovettsville, VA.

Along with his wife, Shirley he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Franklin Utterback and a grandchild, William Roach.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, November 20, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Utterback, Michael Roach, Danny Roach, Alex Guiffre, Sean Scott, and Jimmy Epling.
