Gloria Jean Yancey, “Jeanie”, 70, of Winchester passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in the Blue Ridge Hospice In-Patient Care Center.

Ms. Yancey was born on October 8, 1945, in Winchester, VA, the daughter of Margie Dean Pugh. She worked at the George Washington Home for Adults as the Executive Housekeeper for many years.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Allen Dick, February 14, 2014.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Jenkins (Charles Dunlap) and Kimberly Poe of Winchester; sons, James Yancey Jr. (Angela) of Frederick County and Robert Yancey (Laura) of Berkeley Springs, WV along with eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Jones Funeral Home, Winchester with Pastor Vernon Bray officiating.
