Obituary for Kenlynne Kay White (White)

Kenlynne K. White, 75, of Berryville, died November 21, 2018.

She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, friend and was a life long artist, bridge player,
and entrepreneur.

She was born April 13, 1943 in Jackson, Michigan; the daughter of the late Kenneth C. White
and Joy Rogers White.

She is survived by her children, Julie Lynne Pritchard Dodson (Chip) of Berryville,
Susan DeVane Pritchard (Mark) of Tucson, AZ, and Gelynne Pritchard Smallwood (Bruce) of Bluemont; she was blessed with nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and counting; three sisters, Lynette Wyllis (Richard) and Kathleen LeFaive both of Michigan, and Jane Anne Walicki (Jack) of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers Kenneth White (Cathy), Roger White (Susanna) and Jon LeFaive.

Mrs White was a long time member of the Blandy Sketch Group. She owned many businesses in Connecticut and Virginia including South Britain General Store, Pritchard Pantry Pritchard Pantry West, Mrs White’s Tea Room, Nutmeg Auction Gallery, Southbury Antique Mall, Anna Gillespie Antiques, and Mrs White’s Quilt Shop.

She was a regular at the Carver Center Bridge Club, FISH and served on the Board for the Berryville Library.

A memorial service will be held and an honorary tree will be planted in the spring in her honor at The State Arboretum of Virginia.
