Amos Dick Myers, 84, of Winchester, a dedicated husband, loving father, generous friend, died Sunday, January 14, 2018.
Mr. Myers was born December 1, 1933 in Franklin County, PA; the son of Walter and Mary Dick Myers. He was a self- employed draftsman. He attended Calvary Church of the Brethren.
He married Gladys Louise Mongan on July 1, 1953 in Leitersburg, MD. Mrs. Myers preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Dennis Myers of Stephens City, Darryl Myers of Clear Brook, VA, Dianne Kelley of Front Royal, VA, Donna Schim of New Cumberland, PA, Duane Myers of Bend, OR and Debra Ludwig of Winchester; a brother, Ralph Myers of Norristown, PA; nineteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A committal service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Stephens City. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church of the Brethren with Rev. Glenn Horst and Pastor Chuck Davis officiating.
