Thompson Sage Smith, 21, of Winchester, VA passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

He was born in Winchester on May 29, 1996; the son of Rinda Michelle-Leigh Smith of Winchester, VA and Nathaniel D. Legge of Sumter, SC. He was a graduate of James Wood High school Class of 2014.

Along with his parents he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Rebecca “Becky” Smith and Carl “Gene” Smith; uncle, Travis Smith and half - sister, Micheala G. Legge, all of Winchester.

He was the beloved boyfriend of Delaney Rosenberger. The love that these two shared was unquestionable. We have no doubt that they are now dancing and singing freely together for eternity. They leave behind their beloved malti-poo, Burberry.

Thompson was able to touch many people’s lives during his short lifetime. Please cherish these fond memories in your hearts forever. He will never be forgotten by those who loved him most.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 23, 2018, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, Winchester. A funeral service will be held March 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home, Winchester. A celebration of Thompsons life will follow after the funeral.

Thompson loved animals so in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to an animal charity of your choice.
