Obituary for Alan Boyd Weakley

Alan Boyd Weakley, “Crunchy,” 69, of Boyce, Virginia, died peacefully Friday, May 3, 2019 in his home.
He was born February 10, 1950 in Arlington, VA, the son of Robert and Erma Weakley. Alan was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He retired as a contractor in construction building homes.
Alan married Brenda Morgan September 27, 1975 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Fairfax, VA.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Brenda Weakley, and four children, Rachel and Ben Bowser, and Adam and Aaron Crider, who became their family as Alan and Brenda loved and cared for them as children. Alan is also survived by four brothers: Eugene Weakley of Orange, VA, Doug Weakley of Amissville, VA, Kenny Weakley of Virginia Beach, VA, and Jimmy Weakley of Centreville, VA and six sisters: Virginia Lentz of Arlington, VA, Pat Arnold of Sterling, VA, Betty Altizer of Watertown, WI, Mary Weakley of Watertown, WI, Barbara Tennis of Martinsburg, WV, and Dorothy Potter of Wichita Falls, TX.
Uncle Crunchy is also survived by at least 165 nephews and nieces, great and great-great nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much.
Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Erma Weakley, and four brothers: Bob, Bill, Gary, and Larry Weakley.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 10, 2019 at Lighthouse Baptist Church from 10:30 am – 11:30 am. A funeral will follow at the Church at 11:30 am with Pastor Howard Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tim Turner, John Turner, Brian Turner, Ben Bowser, Tobi Altizer, and John Altizer.
