Obituary for Alvin Pierpoint "Bud" Hite Jr.
Alvin P. Hite, Jr., 74, Stephens City, VA died Friday, February 18, 2022.
Mr. Hite was born August 9, 1947 in Cumberland, MD; son of the late Alvin P. Hite, Sr. and Jenny Elizabeth Hayward Hite. He served his country during the Vietnam War.
He married Bonnie Kay Sheppard Hite, January 24, 2001 in Bel Air, MD.
Along with his wife he is survived by his children, Etta Marie Huss of Roanoke, VA, and John William Edward Hite (Tisha) of, Las Cruces, New Mexico; step children, Melissa Ann Gonzales of Amarillo, TX, Kristina Dawn Dollarhide, Churchville, MD, Patricia Ann Gutierrez (Juan) of Elkton, MD and Bonnie Kay Dollarhide of Stephens City; eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son Alvin P. Hite, III, a brother and a sister.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 21, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A service will follow at 2:00 pm with Dr. Scott Priest officiating. Entombment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Heart Foundation, or Macular Degeneration Foundation.
