Obituary for E Melinda "Mindy" Schryver (Schrubb)
Mrs. E. Melinda (Mindy) Schryver, 81, of Stephens City, VA, passed away February 10, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mindy was born 1940, in Meadville, PA to the late Victor F. and Marie M. Schrubb. She retired from Avtex Fibers in Front Royal, VA. Mindy was a former member of the Winchester Country Club, Dick Bowers Bridge Club of Winchester and the Holiday Bridge Club of Front Royal.
Mindy married Larry Neal Schryver, October 4, 1958 in Meadville, PA.
Along with her husband of 63 years, she is survived by her sons, Mark Schryver of East Hampton, NY, Jeffrey Schryver (Sherry) of Stephens City, VA and James Schryver (Peggy) of Mechanicsburg, PA; grandchildren, Katherine Gianino (Derek) of Alexandria, VA, Ellie Leonard (Jason) of Inwood, WV, Andrew Schryver (Samantha) of Mechanicsburg, PA and Hunter Schryver of Mechanicsburg, PA; great grandchildren, Maria and William Gianino of Alexandria, VA and Allyson and Clarissa Leonard of Inwood, WV and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Jack Schrubb and sister, Virginia McCaskey.
Mindy loved to travel, played golf and enjoyed her time at the bridge table with her friends. She was very active with the activity committee of Adelaide Shores RV Resort where she wintered in Avon Park, FL.
A funeral service will be held at a later date at the Opequon Presbyterian Church in Winchester, VA. with pastor David Witt presiding.
