Obituary for Jeffrey Todd Monroe
Jeffrey Todd Monroe, 45, of Inwood, WV, unexpectedly passed away at his home on June 9, 2020.
Jeff was born in October of 1974 in Leesburg, Va to Joseph R. Monroe and the late Barbara C. Dillow. Jeff married his wife, Kristina, in June of 2002 in Sterling, Va.
Jeff was a long-time employee of the Boeing Company, where he took great pride in working hard to provide for his family. He was an incredibly energetic guy who loved the outdoors, The Redskins, and spending time with loved ones. Given a choice, Jeff would spend his time cooking, 4-wheeling, hunting, fishing and laughing with his family and friends. He was a warm and loving individual, and this was especially evident in his relationships with his wife, children and Granddaughter Carleigh, who was the apple of his eye. He was always the life the party; he was caring and fun to be around and was as quick with a joke as he was to lend hand if anyone needed it. His bright smile, big heart and beautiful soul will forever be missed far beyond any imaginable measure.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife and partner of nearly 22 years, Kristina L. Monroe, two sons Tyler J. Monroe and Shane M. Monroe, precious granddaughter Carleigh Bowers-Monroe, Father, Joseph R. Monroe, three Brothers, two Sisters, two Brother-in-laws, two Sister-in-laws. In-Laws Richard Glidden, Sharon Glidden and Kathy Miller, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, two cousins he took under his wing as his own, Michael W. Shirley, Jr. & Nicholas R. Shirley, numerous coworkers and friends and the family dog, CoCo(LaLa).
He was predeceased by his Mother, Barbara C. Dillow, Father-in-law, Joseph M. Young, Step Father-In-Law, Michael L. Rothgeb.
The family will receive family and friends from 6pm-8pm on Friday June the 26th at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester, Va.
