John's contributions to the strawberry world are too many to grasp. He was honored for just some of those contributions at the most recent meeting of the North American Strawberry Growers Association this past January in Texas. We are shocked and saddened by his loss. Our memories of him will serve as a guide long into the future, and he will be sorely missed.
