Obituary for Linda Belmore Irwin (Harper)

Linda Belmore Irwin, 69, of Gore, Virginia passed away quietly at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester Virginia Friday, February 21, 2020.
Linda was born in Portland, Oregon. She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings.
Linda and her husband Michael moved to Gore, Virginia in 2013 following Michael’s retirement. Prior to that move, they had resided in western Loudoun County since 2000.
Among Linda’s interests was as a gourmet to which her husband Michael and many dinner guests will proudly attest. She spent years diligently studying the Bible.
Linda was truly dedicated to her Christian faith. She served on the Vestry, and she taught Bible study at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Purcellville. Her faith and her love of God sustained her throughout her 3 ½ year battle with multiple myeloma.
Mourning her loss is her husband Michael, with whom she shared thirty-one happy years of marriage. Also surviving are her step-daughter Jennifer S. Edwards and her husband Roger, three grandchildren, two brothers-in-law: James Alexander Irwin and his wife Barbara, and Roger Jay Irwin, all of Texas and three nephews. She is sorely missed.
A memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at St Peter’s Episcopal Church in Purcellville, Virginia at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Linda’s name to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, #405, Winchester, Virginia 22601.
