Obituary for Lorraine Pepita "Lori" Barrett

Lorraine Pepita Barrett
02/13/1955 - 01/14/2020

Lorraine Barrett was a compassionate mother, loving sister, and devoted aunt. She had a fierce love of animals. Spirited and kind, loving to everyone she knew. Resilient and strong until the end. Lori had one daughter, one niece, and one nephew, all of which she loved as her own children. She spent her whole life caring for and loving her brother, Jerry. Lori lived a life of many trials and tribulations but never failed to find the lesson in them. She passed on these life lessons to her children, teaching us each about love, resilience, grit, and independence. She is now in peace and without pain. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.

One of Lori’s favorite pastimes was watching movies with her family. One of our favorites to watch as we laughed and cried together was Stepmom — “I don’t want to say goodbye, I’m gonna miss you so much.” “Oh sweetie, it’s okay. It’s okay to miss me. You can miss me and you can take me with you. You can...” To Lori, we say “we will see you in our dreams.”

Lori is survived by her brother, Gerald Barrett as well as her daughter, April Barrett-Sperling, her niece and nephew, Misty and Jacob Denham-Barrett.
