Obituary for Robert Luther "Bob" Pifer Sr.
Robert L. Pifer Sr., 90, of Winchester, VA, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Evergreen Health and Rehab Center.
Robert was born August 4, 1930 in Winchester, son of the late Luther and Pearl Pifer. He married Helen Whitacre Pifer July 15, 1950. He was a retired sales associate of Advanced Auto and Big A Auto Store and attended church at Church of Christ at Mountain View.
He is survived by his children, Robert Pifer Jr. (Robin) of Winchester, Leta Griffith (Ray) of Berryville, VA, Edward Pifer (Renate) of Cross Junction, VA, 7 grandchildren; Deanna Pifer, Daniel Pifer, Valerie Gordon, Rachel Skrabel, Edward Pifer Jr., Robin Maurer, and Thomas Pifer, and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Pifer, and his sister, Marie Litten.
All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Robert L. Pifer Sr. Memorial Fund at Jones Funeral Home 228 S Pleasant Valley Rd. Winchester, VA 22601.
