Obituary for William Lofton "Billy" Talhelm

William "Billy" L. Talhelm, 78 of the Winchester area, died Sunday April 12, 2020 at the Winchester Medical Center. William was born April 4, 1942, to the late William M. Talhelm and Lela E. (Lofton) Talhelm. Billy loved to walk around Winchester and made a lot of friends over the years.

"Billy" never married. He is survived by his half sister, Charlotte Pugh, and her children; J. D., Carol, Wayne and Steve. Also surviving are his first cousins: Jeri (Donnie) and sons, Kevin & Kenny; Robert, Gary, Charles & Louis Lofton; his aunt by marriage, Janice and her children, Debra, Donna, Darrell and Denise; also Richard Fletcher and his daughters, Ann Larue and Laura; and the 5 Golightly daughters, Melanie, Donna, Dorothy, Theresa and Susan; Betty (Franks) Geisenhaver; and a lot of other cousins.

Preceding him in death are: maternal grandparents, James J. Lofton, Sr.
& Rosa M. (Franks) Lofton; paternal grand parents, William H. Talhelm & Lydia (Roadcap) Talhelm; uncles, James J. Lofton, Jr. & Irene (Peer) Lofton, Glenn "Sonny" F. Lofton, and Roy U. Talhelm; aunts, Erma
(Lofton) Peele & Lloyd T. Peele and Estella (Lofton) Heckert & Carl Heckert; cousins, Ann (Heckert) Fletcher and Linda (Heckert) Golightly & James "Grease" Golightly; Jack Geisenhaver & children, Brian & Brenda Geisenhaver and Dawn Butts. "Billy" will be greatly missed by family and friends.
