Life

My grandmother was a strong dedicated woman to her ailing husband and family. She taught me what it means to be dedicated and have respect in a marriage, advice only a grandmother can give to a woman. She loved many especially my cousin Matthew and nephew Bryce. I remember many times while living with my mom and aunt her reading about the butterflies to Bryce and how she found great joy when he would raise his little hands in the air and wave them. She also loved history, Harpers Ferry was always a special place where we shared many fond memories together. Recently she experessed wanting to know more about her fathers family history which I found and traced back for her to the 1400's. Knowing she could not talk much I would just read to her what I found describing her lineage, also describing to her all the adventures I seem to find myself in. She always told me how happy she was to know that someone in the family would carry on the historical lineage and in that I take great pride. My grandmother was a beautiful person who loved unconditonally, we can only pray to love as vigorously as she did. Now she is at peace surrounded by her loved ones especilly my grandfather Raymond who she cared for so greatly, never leaving his side. When I would go to visit him with her they always looked at each other with such love, a love that only God can create. He would always call her Baby. These are the things I will carry in my heart until the day our Lord takes me home.
