Obituary for Victor Dwayne Boyd
Victor Dwayne Boyd, “Monk”, 59, of Winchester, VA passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Winchester Medical Center.
Monk was born June 1, 1957 in Winchester; the son of Harvey Matthew Boyd, Sr. and Peggy Ann Racer. He worked in construction most of his life. Monk loved to play the card game “set back”. If he could he would have lived on the river and spent his life fishing.
Monk is survived by his daughter, Kayla Boyd of Winchester; step son, Lloyd Fraizer of Winchester; two grandchildren, Kara and Aaleeyah Fraizer; brothers, Harvey Boyd , Jr. (Trudy) of Stephens City and Charles Boyd of Winchester; sisters, Linda Anderson of Winchester and Brenda Anderson (Darian) of Winchester; his step mother, Nancy Baker of Winchester and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Terry Boyd.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The War Memorial Building, Lord Fairfax Room, in the Winchester Jim Barnett Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boyd family, c/o Jones Funeral Home, 228 S. Pleasant Valley Road, Winchester, VA 22601.
