Catherine J. Strosnider, 82, of White Post, VA, died Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Winchester Medical Center.
She was born July 20, 1928 in Winchester, the daughter of Roy and Anna Rinker Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Strasburg Church of Christ.
She married Holmes Preston Strosnider, Sr. on November 6, 1943 in Winchester, VA.
Along with her husband, Holmes of White Post, she is survived by one son, Holmes P. Strosnider, Jr. of Stephens City, VA; two daughters, Sandra F. Baker of San Diego, CA and Connie MacMillan of Winchester; seven grandchildren, Kimble Baker, Brian Baker, James Pingley, Steve MacMillan, Mike MacMillan, Tammy Crawford and Shane Strosnider and thirteen great grandchildren.
A brother, Charles Johnson preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be James Pingley, Michael MacMillan, Shane Strosnider, Tyler MacMillan, Jimmy Pingley and Steve MacMillan.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
