James “J.T.” Trenton Anderson Jr., age 50, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Anderson; daughters, Alexandra “Alex” and Olivia “Livi”; father and mother, James “Jimmy” Anderson and Ruth Ferguson; sister, Heather Anderson Bowen; brother in law, William Bowen and nephews, Thomas and Jack Bowen.
He was born on March 24, 1966 in Winchester, VA and graduated from John Handley High School in 1984. After attending Virginia Commonwealth University, he returned to Winchester to work in the family business and enjoyed a successful career as President of Page Brooke Land Trust.
In addition to his numerous business achievements, J.T. served on The Powhatan School Board of Trustees since 2013 and as president of the board since 2015. J.T spearheaded a successful Capital Campaign to enhance science, technology, engineering and math programs at the school through curriculum enhancement and infrastructure improvements as well as the construction of an outdoor education center that bears his name.
He was an extremely generous person who positively influenced countless lives. His kind heart and quick wit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held at Jones Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Funkhouser officiating. A reception will follow.
