Obituary for Marguerite Mae O'Donnell

Marguerite Mae  O'Donnell
Marguerite M. O’Donnell, 85, of Stephens City, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. O’Donnell was born December 14, 1928 in Edinburg, VA; the daughter of James W. and Esther Ludwig Funkhouser. She retired from Giant Foods. She was a graduate of Edinburg High School Class of 1947. She was a former member of the Winchester Senior Center and UFCW Local 400.
She married James R. O’Donnell on May 1, 1970 in Riverdale, MD. Mr. O’Donnell preceded her in death on November 27, 1997.
She is survived by her children, Doug Strosnider and Dawn Lichliter, both of Winchester, Maggie Foster of Stephens City and Elizabeth Schell of Springfield, VA; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Strosnider; two brothers, Houston and Robert Funkhouser; and four sisters, Hilda Hines, Frances Ward, Dorothy Ward and Mary Fravel.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church of the Brethren with Pastor Chuck Davis officiating. Entombment will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park.
