Obituary for James Edward ""Sonny"" Wallace

James Edward ""Sonny""  Wallace
James E. “Sonny” Wallace, 76, of Winchester,VA, died Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Blue Ridge Hospice In Patient Care Center.

He was born September 22, 1940 in Winchester; the son of Joseph E. and Mary Lofton Wallace. He retired from H.N. Funkhouser & Co as an HVAC technician.

Sonny married Mary Louise Linaweaver on August 25, 1961 in Hagerstown, MD.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, two children, Regina L. Daugherty, and Gary Lee Wallace both of Winchester, a brother, Robert Wallace of Winchester; three sisters, Catherine Coffelt, Patsy White and Barbara Ashby of Winchester and three grandchildren, Joseph Wallace, Jeff Wallace and Zandalee Daugherty.

Mr. Wallace is preceded in death by his son James “Jimmy” Wallace.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A funeral will be held Monday November 21, 2016, 1:00 p.m., at the Jones Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn D. Welsh officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ray Rooter, Billy Cline, Joey Parrill, Richard Light, Kenny Anderson, and Billy Staples.
