The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Spahr can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Dear Renee, David and families, It is with great sorrow that we write this. Hans was very dear to our hearts. He had such an effervescent personality and his smile was very contagious. His loving devotion, care and tenderness in taking care of his (and our) dear Betty were such a beautiful examples of sacrificial love. We have known both Hans & Betty for all our lives. They were dear friends to us for many years. We have seen them in good times and bad and they were both always upbeat and happy and optimistic. Hans will be sorely missed by us all. We thank God that he was in our lives. May God bless and comfort you all, his children, grandchildren, siblings and friends left behind. We will miss our annual visits to Winchester to see Hans & Betty each July, but maybe we'll still stop in to see you Renee & Preston. Thank you also for taking such great care of your mom and dad for so many years. May God bless you all! Barbara, Elsa & Heidi Reinhardt, Hackensack, NJ
