Roy  Bayliss "Joe"  Strosnider
Roy Bayliss Strosnider, “Joe”, 73, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Joe was born January 2, 1944 in Winchester, VA; the son of the late Tyree Bayliss and Nathilee Virginia Barrett Strosnider. Joe owned and operated Strosnider’s TV in Winchester. He was a member of the Eagles and a past member of the Moose, the Fraternal Order of Police and the past President of the F.O.P. He served for many years as a Winchester Reserve Police Officer. Joe enjoyed listening to blue grass music but he especially loved his family.

Joe married Candy Sue Friddle July 18, 2001 in Winchester.

He is survived by his wife Candy along with his sons, Roy Edward Strosnider “Eddy” and his wife Lisa, Bryan Allen Strosnider and wife Kasey and William Tyler Strosnider all of Winchester; sister, Joyce Swick and her husband Steve of Winchester; brothers, Wayne Strosnider of Winchester, Roger Strosnider of Strasburg and Norman Racey and his wife Linda of Strasburg;eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Darlene Virginia Strosnider, September 17, 1989.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.

A funeral will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Opequon Presbyterian Church, Kernstown, VA with Pastor David Witt officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eddy Strosnider, Brad Strosnider, Keith Strosnider, Ryan Strosnider, Keith Rothgeb and David Kohne.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William Strosnider Education Fund at BB&T bank.
