William Gary "Gary"  Martin
William “Gary” Martin, 75, Winchester, VA went home in the loving arms of his Lord on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.

He was born on September 5, 1942 in Martinsburg, WV; the son of William E. and Norma Grace Crawford Martin. He was a truck driver for over thirty years and was also employed by Mack Truck. He was a member of Woodbine Assembly of God Church.

He married Virginia “Susie” McDonald Martin on December 28, 2001.

Along with his wife, Susie, he is survived by his children with his first wife, Eva Pace Martin; Gary Wayne Martin and wife, Sara of Hedgesville, WV and Kathy Stuckey and husband, Floyd, Jr. of Hedgesville; Susie’s daughter, Paula Marie Butler and husband, Kelly of Orlando, FL; sister, Linda Hansrote of Martinsburg, WV and grandson, Jeremy Floyd Stuckey of Hedgesville.

Gary loved fishing and hunting especially with his grandson, Jeremy. He and Jeremy would go to Chincoteague Island to fish and would go to Nags Head to fish with his wife, Susie, and brother in law, Mack McDonald. In the fall he loved cutting wood with his daughter, Kathy and son in law, Floyd, Jr. His constant companion was his dog, Raven and his cat, Callie.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Woodbine Assembly of God Church with Pastor Louis Whitford officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to The SPCA, 111 Featherbed Lane, Winchester, VA 22601.
