On Sunday, April 29, 2018, our beloved mother and mammaw, Rose Carol Williams, 76, of Stephens City, VA, went to be with the Lord.

She was born November 17, 1941 in Fleming, Kentucky; the daughter of the late Otto Fred Horton and Leona Beatrice White Horton. Rose married Marvin Lewis Williams on June 6, 1959 in Chesapeake, VA. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1994. Rose worked for Chesapeake Public Schools for 42 years as a School Bus Driver which she dearly enjoyed.

She is survived by her two daughters, Teresa L. Anderson and husband, Edwin, of Clover, SC and Marvette C. Coates and husband, Bryan, of Stephens City, VA; two grandchildren, Erika Rose Romaine and husband, Westervelt, and Kyle Adaler Coates and fiancé, Katelyn; a great grandson, Sullivan Romaine (who she referred to as “Mammaws Baby”); and one sister-in-law, Carol Horton of Kernersville, NC.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Otto Horton.

There will be a viewing on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Living Waters Christian Fellowship in Chesapeake, VA. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Nelson Fields as the Officiant. The burial will be private at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
