Harold Richard  Whitacre
Harold (Rob) Richard Whitacre, Sr., 70, of Berryville, VA, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center.
Rob was born September 25, 1947, the son of the late, Bud and Hilda Whitacre. He was raised in in Yellow Springs, WV and graduated from Hampshire High School. He moved to Winchester and was employed by Bauserman Oil Company for eleven years. He then started Mother Nature Tree Service in 1977 which is still in operation today.
He is survived by four sons; Harold (Robbie) Whitacre Jr. of Winchester, VA, Ernie Lewis of Winchester, VA, and William Lewis of Winchester, VA; three daughters; Stacey Edwards of Kings Mountain, NC, Lydia Bible of Mathias, WV, and Caprice Dowell of Kings Mountain, NC; two sisters; Elizabeth Deā€™more of Winchester, VA and Linda Springs of Romney, WV; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, August 21 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, August 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home. His body will be laid to rest at Shenandoah Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Berryville Moose following the services.
