Peggy Lou "Big Louie"  Hoover (Coulson)
Peggy Lou Hoover, 83, of Stephens City, VA passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at her home.

Affectionately known as “Big Louie”, Peggy was born in White Post, VA; the daughter of David B. and Marjorie Elizabeth Haymaker Coulson. She was a graduate of Clarke County High School and was an engineering secretary with C&P Telephone until she retired in 1985. She then went on to work for JC Penney until she retired again in 1995.

Peggy was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church and was very active with the Methodist Women’s Group. She volunteered with the Winchester Medical Center Auxiliary for over seventeen years accumulating eight thousand hours of service.

On February 22, 1981 she married Wayne Charles Hoover, Sr. at Macedonia United Methodist Church.

Along with her husband she is survived by her children, Cynthia Neff and husband, Kenneth, of Junction City, KS, Carol Keefer and husband, Timmy, of Berryville, VA and Kenneth Eaton and wife, Claudia, of Anderson, SC; brother, Lee Coulson and his wife, Evelyn, of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren, Michael Neff, Sarah Phillips, Eric Keefer, Nicholas Eaton and Andrew Eaton and four great grandchildren with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Earl Coulson, Wilson Coulson, Woodrow Coulson and Richard Coulson and her first husband.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, December 16, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Mayton officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Doug Kerns, Kenny Pine, Ted Reed, Earl Proffit, Pete Peters and Tom Edwards.
