Condolence From: Donna & Bernie Thompson
Condolence: Cannot tell you all how sad I am for your loss and ours. She would stop in at least a couple of day a week to drop off a vegetable or something that she had made. She would come to have dinner with Bernie every Thursday so that I could attend classes. Our tracking tests will never be the same--she worked so hard to make them happen. She is now my guardian angel and will be sitting on my shoulder and Bernie's. We both loved her so! She even wrote a book about her tracking experiences with Bernie. We loved her very much

Condolence: Jennie, you came to TR after I had left as a teacher, but I knew you through my husband, Ken, who was still employed there. I remember the afternoon you and your children, and your nephew joined me on the lake. We had such a wonderful afternoon! We had so much in common!

I also remember when I wanted to get certified as a soapmaker after leaving the field of education many years later. I needed a proctor, and you agreed. Ken often spoke of you and your down-to-earth common sense. I am so sad that you have left us, but I know you are with the Lord Jesus in Heaven--best of all places to be! Say hello to our dear Monica, please!

Condolence: The last time I would see Jennie alive was at Walmart-during the last Christmas season. We talked about her latest work-once more being with troubled youth. She was about to expand the program to include younger children. That's Jennie and her legacy-hanging in there with the least and the lost. Seeing what more can be done. She was there after the 15th round, in the corner with ice and a bucket-sometimes for staff as well as kids!. This is true working with her at Timber Ridge. I hit a 15th round in December 2005 when I needed a teaching job and applied to TRS. She took a chance on me, and I am thankful for the tough but rewarding experience. Before we embraced, I told her that I couldn't teach middle school without having had the TRS experience. She affirmed me in my teaching at TRS, even when I still wondered if I was effective. If there are Units in heaven, dwelling places where lost sheep are carried on the shoulders of Jesus, and running streams of living water are given freely, I think the Lord would ask Jennie to help see after them. Somehow her laugh seemed to guarantee that grace was on the way. I didn't often see that when times were tough a TRS. But then again, she seemed further along the spiritual journey than I. Good night Jennie.

Condolence: May the angels of grief be with Jennie's family as their hearts mourn the passing of such a beautiful soul. I met Jennie only twice when she came to the Hampshire County Arts Council board and planning meetings, although we did have some emails and FB messages. She later volunteered to teach 2 water color classes at our combined HCAC/WVSD&B Adventures in the Arts Camp this past June and was very disappointed when her health challenges prevented it. Blessings on your journey Jennie Johnson.

Condolence: I could not have asked for a better childhood playmate. What wonderful memories we have spending time together. You were so much like your mother; a very loving, gentle, patient, soul. Also headstrong, mischievous, with a wonderful laugh! I am honored to call you family - my cousin.
