I had the personal joy of knowing Mike for almost 20 years through my work at the SEC. I also had the pleasure of having an office next to Mike for part of that time. I would come in early and hear Mike playing his guitar and as I walked to my office, I'd pass Mike's office right by mine and see him there, smiling, wearing his straw cowboy hat, and happily playing his guitar.
He always had a smile and joke handy, and you couldn't help but smile in his presence.
Mike, you will be remembered as a dear colleague and friend to many.

Mike was always willing to stop what he was doing to help out. And I always appreciated that.

We didn't know each other for long, but he left a lasting impression on me.

Missing you Mike.

I have been so blessed to have known you. Your quick wit humor, somewhat less-than-funny jokes, and contagious smile always brought a smile to my face. Seeing you at the office first thing in the morning just brightened the whole day. You're my friend and the little brother I never had. I miss you dearly and you'll constantly be in my thoughts and prayers. Love ya, brother.
